Fashion Extravaganza Sonam Kapoor Hosts Star-Studded Welcome Party for UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham Former football player David Beckham has taken a brief sojourn to India, wearing his UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador hat. The Manchester United star, who is renowned not only for his prowess on the football field but also for his philanthropic endeavors, graced the India Vs New Zealand World Cup semi-final match. Joining him in the VIP section were Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. However, it was the exclusive after-party hosted by Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her entrepreneur husband Anand Ahuja at their opulent Mumbai residence that stole the limelight.

The soirée was a star-studded affair, attended by the crème de la crème of Bollywood, including Rhea Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Ananya Birla, Shahid and Mira Kapoor, among others. Shanaya Kapoor turned heads in a semi-sheer black Giambattista Valli cape dress adorned with rhinestones from the fall/winter 2023 collection. Styled by the talented Tanya Ghavri, Shanaya’s outfit mirrored the glamour and sophistication synonymous with Hollywood icon Priyanka Chopra, who also flaunted a creation from the same collection at the Victoria’s Secret premiere.

Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, true to their fashion-forward reputation, opted for unconventional saris that epitomized contemporary elegance. Sonam, styled by her sister, wore the Panorama Shibori Jamdani sari, paired with a white Jamdani kaftan, both sourced from Studio Medium. Her ensemble was complemented by exquisite diamond and emerald jewelry from Shri Paramani Jewels, creating a look that seamlessly merged tradition with modernity.

Rhea Kapoor, not one to conform to norms, donned an all-black sari ensemble. Her sari, a creation by Antar-Agni by Ujjawal Dubey, was paired with a cape-style blouse from Rishta by Arjun Saluja. The ensemble was elevated with a statement bird necklace from Apala by Sumit and earrings from the renowned Sangeeta Boochra.

The male host of the evening, Anand Ahuja, exhibited his sartorial finesse in a bottle green kurta paired with white pants from the atelier of Divya Mehta.

Karisma Kapoor, another illustrious guest, dazzled in an Anita Dongre dress from the latest collection showcased at the Rewild’23 fashion show, adding a touch of glamour and glitz to the proceedings.
